Wild Walks for Wellbeing – NEW

In this practical workshop Sow the City will give you the knowledge and confidence to support yourself and others on engaging in nature walks and gain an appreciation of how nature can positively impact wellbeing.

 

A growing body of research evidence is demonstrating the importance of time spent in nature for our health. Studies report exposure to nature increases wellbeing, including subjective wellbeing, happiness, resilience, and a reduction in social isolation.

The aim of this short course is to inspire you to engage more with everyday nature and provide you with a few ideas to start exploring your local environment more often with others.

By the end of this course, you will.

  • Have an appreciation of the role nature can play in improving health and wellbeing.
  • Have a better understanding of how to utilise GMMH’s green health walk throughout the year.
  • Experience mindful nature activities Understand the practicalities of leading nature walks.
  • Be inspired to spend more time outdoors for improved wellbeing.

 

Please note – This workshop involves practical elements, delivered outdoors, so please bring, or wear outer layers suitable for the weather.
