Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a type of talking therapy that strengthens people’s own motivation and commitment to change by using collaborative conversation to explore people’s own reasons for change. The rationale for this approach is that people are more likely to change if they have been encouraged to make their own decisions to do so.
This two-day accredited unit enables participants to:
Understand the spirit, principles and skills of MI
Understand the fundamental processes and core skills of MI
Practice using MI skills
Be able to recognise Change Talk and respond to it in an MI Style
Delivery Method: Virtual via Microsoft Teams

Course cost: £100 for GMMH staff and other organisations
