The Recovery Academy is an inclusive educational space where individuals, families, carers, and professionals can access tools and knowledge to support mental health, wellbeing, and recovery.
All our courses and resources are free and support individuals with mental health challenges, individuals with experience of addiction, carers, family and friends, the local community, staff from mental health service providers, and individuals from partner agencies.
The Recovery Academy is for everyone.
Our courses and resources are co-produced by experts by profession and experts by experience. This recognises, with equal importance, both professional expertise and lived experience expertise, promotes the Recovery Academy’s philosophy of shared learning, and is one of the Recovery Academy’s core values.
By learning together, we aim to reduce stigma, and foster compassion towards individuals experiencing a mental health issue, substance misuse, their carers, family, and friends.
We asked some of our students to share their thoughts on what the Recovery Academy means to them.
