Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) – Lived Experience

This e-Magazine aims to support parents and carers of children / adolescents diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), or in the process of seeking a diagnosis of FASD.

It’s a space to hear lived experience of journeys to FASD diagnosis, navigating health and social care support systems, schools, and education.

It’s estimated that up to 3.6% of children born in Greater Manchester may be affected by FASD. That’s the equivalent of up to 1,238 children born every year.

This e-Magazine is a space to hear lived experience of journeys to FASD diagnosis, navigating health and social care support systems, schools, and education.

This publication is reproduced with kind permission from the Greater Manchester FASD Network and supported by 10GM.

We recommend that you also complete our companion e-Learning – An introduction to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). The e-Learning course introduces you to what FASD is, how it affects someone at different stages of life and the path to diagnosis.

Please note:

Completion certificates are not issued for e-Magazines. However, if you need a certificate, please contact the Recovery Academy.
