Domestic Abuse is a common experience that can happen to anyone. It can take on many forms and the impacts can be wide and varied.
In March 2022 the National Centre for Domestic Violence published the following findings,
“1 in 5 adults experience Domestic Abuse during their lifetime”.
“A domestic abuse related call is made to the police every 30 seconds”.
“It is estimated that less than 24% of domestic abuse crime is reported to the police”.
With this in mind, it is vital we get the conversation started and raise awareness around domestic abuse.
During this short course, participants will explore domestic abuse, including the different forms this may take, the impacts it can have and options for support that people may find helpful. Overall, the course aims to raise awareness around domestic abuse in order to upskill communities, empower individuals and support those who may need it.
