Understanding & Exploring Neuro-Diverse Experiences

The term neuro-diverse recognises and celebrates the difference in the way our brains work. This may include a variety of experiences including ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Tourette’s.

With around 1 in 7 people in the UK experiencing neurodiversity, there is no time like the present to get these conversations started. Join us on this one-day course where we aim to do just that. During the course we will explore key areas of Neurodiversity, drawing on lived experience to raise awareness, stamp out stigma and celebrate the strengths neurodiversity can bring.

By the end of this course, you will:

  • Gain a greater understanding of the term neurodiversity and explore a variety of neuro-diverse experiences.
  • Consider the wide variety of impacts neurodiversity can bring, ranging from relationships, study, work, and mental health.
  • Explore inclusive approaches and strategies that promote well-being and empower individuals with cognitive differences, including consideration of the Equality Act.
  • Challenge stereotypes and misconceptions surrounding neuro-diverse experiences.
  • Explore the positive implications and strengths of Neurodiversity.
