Level 3 Behavioural Activation Skills

Behavioural Activation is a brief talking therapy that uses mapping to encourage people to approach activities that they are avoiding and is particularly helpful for people experiencing anxiety and depression.

This two-day accredited unit enables participants to:

Understand the link between activity and mood and what Behavioural Activation is
Leaf Image
Be able to assess a client’s current situation and identify long term goals
Leaf Image
Be able to identify appropriate activities with a client and create an activity hierarchy
Leaf Image
Be able to support a client to plan an activity diary
Leaf Image
Be able to monitor and review progress with a client and end the intervention effectively

Dates:  Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 August 2026 or Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 November 2026 – NEW!

Times:  10am to 4pm

Venue:  Room 3, The Curve, Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, Bury New Road, Prestwich, Manchester M25 3BL

Fee: £100 payable on completion of the course. Five free places are available for GMMH volunteers, subject to availability.
