NEW – The Joy Workshop

Joy is vital for our overall health as it acts as a natural fuel that reduces stress hormones, strengthens our immune system, builds our mental resilience to overcome challenges within our daily lives, and deepens social bonds by connecting us with others.

This workshop aims to explore finding joy in everyday life, sharing experiences to develop a self-care plan for the future. There will also be opportunity to work collectively in creating a creative piece to share the message of joy to our future students.

By the end of the two-day workshop, participants will:

  • Have reflected on what Joy means to you, and the various things that bring you Joy.
  • Gain a greater understanding of why joy is so important to our overall wellbeing
  • Gain a shared storyboard from the facilitator on their own lived experience of things that bring them joy
  • Understand some practical things you can do to bring you joy into each and every day by sharing experiences with one another
  • Feel empowered into creating your own ‘Joy Journal’ to take away from the workshop
  • Be able to be involved in creative activities throughout the workshop
