Family Law (The Basics) – Private Children's Law

This course is in two parts and will provide an overall summary relating firstly to domestic abuse, and secondly to public children’s law.

 

This course would be very useful for anybody who wants to know a bit more about their legal rights and options when having issues in relation to divorce and private children’s law.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, you should be able to understand more about:

The powers and statutory duties that Children’s Services have and owe to families.

  • How to obtain a divorce.
  • The role of Mediation in family law.
  • The basics of resolving financial issues upon divorce and
  • The availability of Legal Aid to help fund representation from a Family Law Solicitor.
