Family Law (The Basics) – Domestic Abuse

This course is in two parts and will provide an overall summary relating firstly, to domestic abuse and secondly, to the arrangements for children upon separation.

 

This course would be very useful for anybody who wants to know a bit more about their legal options when experiencing domestic abuse, or when having issues in relation to arrangements for their children.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, you should be able to understand more about:

  • Have an understanding of domestic abuse and the different forms it can take.
  • Have and understanding of what legal options are available to victims of domestic abuse, both under the criminal law and the civil law.
  • Have an understanding of the role of Mediation in family law.
  • Have an understanding of Child Arrangement Orders.
  • Have an understanding of the availability of Legal Aid to help fund representation from a Family Law Solicitor
