AFS Relational Security and Boundaries

Relational security refers to the conscious and proactive approach staff take to build secure and therapeutic relationships with patients, while remaining vigilant to potential risks. It combines awareness of the patient’s needs and behaviours with a team approach to safety. Target Audience: Patient facing staff. 

AFS – Escort Training

To provide consistency in the standard of escorting patients internal/external to the service maintaining safety and security of the patient, staff, and members of the public. To equip staff with skills and security awareness in regard to escorting visitors within the service. Target Audience: Nursing staff and occupational therapists.
